3-Ingredient Cinnamon Life Cereal Treats

Looking for something fun to do with cinnamon life cereal – or any cereal for that matter? Make these 3-ingredient cereal treats! No baking required; just a quick stovetop process and super simple to make. My kiddo loves them and I bet yours will too!

Three cinnamon life marshmallow treats.

Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make these Cinnamon Life treats:

Cinnamon life, marshmallows, and dairy-free butter.
  • Cinnamon life cereal – This is my son’s current favorite cereal of choice, so we’ve always got it on hand. That said, you can use any preferred cereal in these treats!
  • Dairy-free butter – I use Country Crock plant butter sticks for this recipe, but you can use whatever dairy-free stick butter you prefer. This is obviously a dairy-free site, but if you stumbled across this online and you’re not dairy-free, you can obviously just use regular butter here!
  • Mini marshmallows – I find the mini ones melt easier and quicker on the stovetop compared to the large ones.

Instructions

Once you’ve got all your ingredients, add the dairy-free butter and marshmallows to a pot over medium-low heat. Stir often until the mixture is melted and well combined.

Marshmallows and dairy-free butter melted together in a large pot.

Remove that from heat and stir in the cereal.

Cereal stirred into the pot.

Once the cereal is all coated, pour it out into a parchment lined 8×8 baking dish. Press it down firmly. You can use another piece of parchment paper that’s been greased, or you can use a greased wooden spoon to press it down. The goal is to compress the mixture as much as possible.

The marshmallow cereal mixture pressed into an 8x8 dish.

Once that’s done, let them solidify and then cut into squares!

After they’re prepared, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Allergens in this Recipe

Disclaimer: Always double check ingredients and labels yourself prior to making a recipe.  While I try to check all ingredients for allergens, there’s always the chance I may miss something, or manufacturer formulations can change.

As written, this recipe is dairy free, egg free, and nut free (using the ingredients mentioned). (Note that if you choose a different dairy-free butter than what I’ve selected, it may then contain nuts, as some brands are almond or cashew based).

This recipe does contain wheat/gluten (in the cereal) and soy (in the dairy-free butter). These are easy to adjust to suit your needs:

  • To make wheat/gluten free, choose a safe cereal that fits your needs.
  • To make soy free, choose a dairy-free butter that does not contain soy, like Earth Balance soy free sticks.
