1. Nature’s Fynd Yogurt

Three containers of Fynd dairy free yogurt.

A dairy free yogurt that is also free from soy and nuts? It exists! The secret to Nature’s Fynd yogurt is a fungi protein nicknamed “Fy”. This was developed using a microbe originally discovered at Yellowstone National Park, called Fusarium strain flavolapis, which was then fermented to develop the protein used in the yogurt.

Science is so cool, right?!

A single serving container also packs in 8 grams of protein, and has a texture and taste that is quite similar to traditional dairy-based yogurt. You can find them at Whole Foods, so give it a whirl next time you pop over to the store.

2. Lorissa’s Kitchen Meat Sticks

Several boxes of Lorissa's Kitchen Meat Sticks.

You may be familiar with Lorissa’s Kitchen as they’ve been around for a while, but they recently did a major rebrand. I love that they identify that products are top 9 allergen free, making them an awesome-protein rich snack for people with dairy allergies (and any other top 9 allergy).

They offer four different types of meat sticks: a seasoned smoked beef stick, a jalapeno beef stick, a chili crisp inspired chicken stick, and a savory herb turkey stick (hello, Thanksgiving vibes).

3. Nuts for Cheese

Samples of crackers with Nuts for Cheese spread.

These creamy cheeses are made from cashews, and are free from dairy, soy, and wheat/gluten. They are fermented, which means they offer that nice tang that you’d get in a normal dairy-based cheese. They’re also free from starches and gums.

I tried both the cheddar and the garlic herb cream cheese. I found them to have a great taste and texture without any of the weird aftertaste you sometimes find in other dairy-free cheeses.

I love that they offer a bundle on their website that includes 6 cheeses, 1 salted butter, and 3 cream cheeses.

4. Baked Goods from Red Plate Foods

Allergy-friendly cookies from Red Plate Foods.

I was super excited to discover that Red Plate Foods makes baked goods that are free of the top 9 food allergens and are made in a dedicated facility! This is awesome for food allergy families with severe allergic reactions who may be weary of cross-contamination risk from other brands.

They sell cookies, muffins, and granola. You can purchase certain things in bulk on their website. Certain products – like granola and cookies – are also carried on Amazon. They are also carried in certain stores. Unfortunately, there are no stores that carry their products in my state (at the moment) but some of our neighbor states had locations.

5. Wilde Chips

Wilde chips are very unique in that they have a chicken and egg white base, making them a high protein chip that doesn’t taste chalky or artificial. Keep in mind that only some flavors are dairy free, so be sure to check labels carefully before purchasing. For example, the spicy queso does contain dairy, but the sea salt and vinegar or chicken and waffles flavors both do not contain dairy.

They do run on the pricier side but can be a nice option if you or your kiddo struggle to meet protein needs and are big chip lovers.

6. Jovial Gluten Free Dairy Free Mac & Cheese

It can be tough to find a boxed mac & cheese product that’s both gluten free and dairy free, so this Jovial product is awesome for families with both dietary restrictions. I didn’t get to sample any on site, but I’m on the hunt for it now that I’m home!

Keep in mind they do make other varieties that do contain dairy, so make sure that you are specifically choosing the dairy free option.

7. Goodpop Dairy Free Ice Cream Bars and Ice Cream Sandwiches

A box of goodpop dairy free ice cream bars and a box of goodpop ice cream sandwiches.

Goodpop has a variety of dairy-free frozen desserts, including Neapolitan pops, fudge n’ vanilla crunch pops, orange n’ cream pops, chocolate vanilla sandwiches, and more! All the products are also gluten free, making it a nice choice if that’s a need for you too.

The products are sold at a variety of grocery stores. For example, in my neck of the woods, you can get ‘em at Stop and Shop, Hannaford, and Walmart.

Like some other brands on this list, Goodpop does produce dairy-based ice cream bars as well, so just make sure you’re choosing the right box. On their website, they note: “Our dairy and non-dairy products are made at the same facility; however, our manufacturing facilities adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practices set forth by the FDA and have strict validated practices and procedures in place for cleaning and sanitizing to prevent allergen cross contamination.”

8. Three Trees Pistachio Milk

Several types of dairy free milk from Three Trees, including pistachio milk.

Three Trees has several dairy free milk options, including almond milk, oat milk, and pistachio milk. Pistachio milk was one I hadn’t seen before, so I was pumped to try it. It has a strong pistachio flavor (which I love!) and I could see it being awesome to use in smoothies. I also feel like it could add some awesome flavor when used in quick breads or muffins, or even just poured over cereal.

All of their milks are free from gums, oils, and artificial ingredients, which may be appealing to some families. (This is not personally a big concern for me, but I know others may try to avoid these things!)

9. Pirq Plant Protein Shakes

Pirq plant protein shakes sitting on ice.

These Pirq plant protein shakes can be a great on-the-go option for busy moms. They have no added sugar; instead they are lightly sweetened with stevia. Each shake contains 15 grams of plant-based protein, predominately from pea protein.

I tried the chocolate option and was a fan of the flavor and texture; it wasn’t chalky and was pleasant to drink.

You can find the chocolate shakes and strawberry shakes on Amazon, and a couple additional flavors on their website.

10. Whoa Dough Ready to Bake Cookie Dough

Two packages of Whoa dough cookie dough.

While y’all know I love to bake (as evidenced by the ample dessert recipes on this site!) – sometimes it’s nice to have store-bought options too. This Whoa Dough ready to bake cookie dough is great for multi-allergy families as it’s wheat/gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and soy-free.

I sampled the chocolate chip cookies and thought they were a great option for a store-bought cookie dough. I mean, you really can’t go wrong with a fresh-baked cookie!
