Ingredients

  • 12 ounces dry egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces white or baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup plain almond milk yogurt (or plain cashew milk yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup Silk dairy-free heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, add the beef, onion, and mushrooms to a large skillet. Cook until beef is browned and vegetables are tender, about 8 minutes. If there’s a lot of extra fat in the skillet, drain it off at this point (a little left in there is fine).
  3. Stir in the garlic and the flour. Cook for 1 minute. Add the broth, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook for about 3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in almond milk yogurt and dairy-free heavy cream. Toss with the cooked egg noodles and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

Notes:  If you cannot find the Silk heavy whipping cream, you can also try making this recipe with canned coconut cream.
